John was born and raised in Half Moon Bay. He graduated from HMB High in 2002 and still holds a number of school and San Mateo County records.  He was a two-time recipient of the NPAL Most Valuable Player and the San Mateo County Player of the Year, and led HMB to League Championships in 2001 and 2002. He was elected into the Half Moon Bay Hall of Fame in 2013.

John was a four-year starter for Claremont McKenna College, where his team was the 2006 SCIAC Champion. There he was named Co-MVP, and was an all-league selection two years in a row. Returning to Half Moon Bay in 2006, John works as a financial advisor by day and a coach by night. He coached the HMBHS Varsity team from 2007-2010, was the lead assistant from 2010-2013, and began coaching the JV in the 2013-14 season. He is excited to bring this year-round program to the coast.

Kyle was a four-year player at Half Moon Bay High School, graduating in 2014.  While Kyle is still relatively young in his coaching career his basketball IQ is extremely impressive, and his intensity and passion for constant improvement is a huge asset to Coastside Basketball.  Kyle is a natural leader who brings a wealth of energy and knowledge both on the court and in the weight room, and he always gets the best out of his players.

Tom graduated from Petaluma High School in 1981 and then went on to play at Santa Rosa Jr. College from 1981-1983.  From there Tom transferred to Carroll College in Helena Montana where he played two more years and graduated with a degree in Business Administration.  Tom started his coaching career as an assistant coach for Carroll College in 1986 before moving to CSU Stanislaus in Turlock CA where he was an assistant coach from 1987-1989.  After that he joined San Lorenzo High school where he currently is the Athletic director.  Tom coached Varsity basketball there from 1989-2009. He is married to Lisa Longaker, a local teacher at Cunha Middle School, and has both a son and daughter active in the sport of basketball. Tom brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Coastside staff and we are extremely lucky to have him.
